About Mindquip

Our vision: A happier and more productive workforce

In the last 20 years, cutting-edge scientific research in the field of positive psychology has shed light on how individuals and organisations function best. Much of this information is not accessible, though. Mindquip was founded in April 2015 by Reuben Rusk, PhD to provide individuals and organisations with insight and tools based on this research so that they can benefit.

Our guiding principles

The values that shape all of our work.

Keep it down-to-earth

We don't like pie-in-the-sky ideas. We strive to explain things in ways that make sense.

Give others insight

We want to help people understand themselves and others in helpful new ways.

Focus on what matters most

There's no shortage of ideas. We aim to focus on what can make the biggest impact.

Connect on common ground

We aim to use language that connects with others so they engage, rather than disconnect.

Greatest benefit, least time

We want to benefit people as much as possible without wasting anyone's time, because we're all busy.

Always learning

We keep learning, so that we can constantly improve what we do, and provide better and better service.

Mindquip training vs. seeing a health practitioner

We provide education, not therapy or treatment.

Mindquip works with organisations to help staff feel and work at their best, but we do not provide professional health services that are governed by the New Zealand Health Practitioner Competence Assurance (HPCA) Act 2003. We are not health practitioners (as defined by the HPCA Act 2003) and do not provide psychological therapy or treatment as Mindquip is not a professional psychology practice. We do not address or treat mental problems, such as anxiety, depression, or other disorders that are listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. For help with emotional, behavioural and psychological problems, see a registered psychologist. Psychologists can work with you one-on-one. If you live in New Zealand, you can search for  registered psychologists and registered clinical psychologists near you.
